HE resembles one of those Nordic Europeans, remarked one of the women, staring adoringly, at model-turned-actor Neil Nitin Mukesh, as he posed for shutterbugs one windy night at an upscale Mumbai lounge.

With an unkempt stubble, smashing good looks coupled with a skin tone that would put most women to shame, he managed to create a massive paparazzi frenzy. Post his debut in Johnny Gaddar, Neil is in the mood to unwind. Nursing a glass of wine, he talks about his indulgences and money management mantras.

Those biker boots
Neil confesses that he has a huge shoe fetish, and says he wouldn’t think twice before indulginh in a pair of comfortable, stylish pair of shoes. He doesn’t cringe when it comes to spending Rs 9,000 on a pair of killer Harley Davidson black boots. These pointed, uber-glam boots look good with his jeans and he flaunts them. Finely crafted in black leather, they have the Harley steel chip logo on them. These he picked up in the US. A swanky cell phone is also part of the recent indulgence.

He also like gadgets. Keeping in tune with the changing fads in technology is important to him.

Brand-wagon
"I am a big fan of Cool Cat. What I like the most about this brand is that it is super affordable," Neil states. "I pick up T-shirts for like 4 Pounds (Rs 320), which is an amount, I think, any go-getting youngster wouldn’t mind shelling out," he adds.

"In shoes I like Harley Davidson and Caterpillar. Even though they may be priced at the high-end, a pair costing Rs 5,000 and above, I think they are worth it. These shoes last for more than two to three years and are very durable."

"When it comes to jeans I like brands like Guess, GAP, etc. Again, here I go in for quality and durability. I don’t mind spending Rs 5,000 for a pair of jeans, if they last me for at least two to three years. I like growing old in my jeans."

Shopaholic's itinerary
Like most of the Bollywood brigade, Neil Mukesh likes to shop in New York, though it's not a flashy Sachs Fifth Avenue or a Macy’s he favours. When in NYC, he makes it a point to visit the Cool Cat store.
Back home, he swears by Linking Road in Bandra, Mumbai and GK-1 in Delhi. “I recently picked up a pair of jeans from a store on Linking Road,” he confesses.

Money matters
Neil mostly spends in cash, "I barely use my credit cards." His dad manages his money. But he has investment banker friends, so once in a while he does invest in stocks and mutual funds, recommended by them. "I recently invested in Adlabs films , because I am doing some films with them in the future," he quips.
