Rakhi Sawant, Reality TV personality

Rakhi believes the reduction in excise duties on small cars and two-wheelers is a good thing. "But the government will have to face the consequences with more polluted cities and damage to infrastructure."

When we told her about the duty raise on non-filter cigarettes, she said,"They should be banned!" She feels these should be made so expensive that people will stop smoking altogether!

The cellphone provision (excise duty has been raised) doesn't bother Rakhi. "I get my cellphones, free of charge." Lucky Rakhi, her pals keep gifting her cellphones, she claims!

We also heard her telling her co-stars, "Bahut achcha budget hai!" She feels that the raise in basic exemption limit on Income Tax is the best thing the government has done for Indian women today. She says, "The law isn’t doing much for the Indian women. This is the least they could do."

Speaking about the new tax slab, Rakhi adds, "It is a good thing for the folks in my industry. But I think the common man should be exempted from any sort of income tax."

Rakhi's budget rating: 9/10
