EVEN though you may be cruising along in your professional life, you may feel the need to go back to college again -- perhaps to hone your professional skills, switch careers or to do just what you always wanted to do!

I did just that. After 10 years as a journalist, I decided to take up a master's degree in journalism.
I’d even forgotten to stand up to greet the professor when he entered the classroom! The class was cramped, hot and uncomfortable, but guess who was the only person complaining? Being a student was going to be tough.

But learn I did -- both the course, and the art of being a student. Here’s a few pointers to working professionals slipping into the student mode again.

Very pertinent experience. I recently had a similar experience of clearing one year course of PG diploma in cyberl aw with regular students at MS university of Baroda after 25 years of passing my MD(med) exam from the same university and at a time when my son also was in final year engineering.
This medical doctor and vice chairman of computer society of India cleared PGDCL with first rank and distinction as cyberl aw professional amongst the medical practitioners.
the biggest challenge was not study or time management but the difficulty in writing for three hours continuously after 25 years of last exam! And having used only PC prints!
anyway when there is a will, there still is a way!I do recommend undertaking the experience, making friends and improving perspective and productivity.
