The bottom-line

ULIPs are not a bad investment, per se. But they are products, which help you break even after six to eight years. So, think long-term.

If used as short-term investments, your financial health will suffer.

Thumb rule: Get all the information before you invest.

Calculate: How much insurance you need

Dear Readers, The comments passed by others shall have not really observed how an ulip works.. For sure ulips are better investment to make for long tenure.. If you are short term investor always look for secured instruments available in market. ULIPS are extremely better instruments, which covers insurance as well as investment for your long term goals. Though there are charges initial years going forward it will beat the break even and give you a better returns for a long tenure. Always choose ulips for long term goals. Cheers... Happy investing....
